Working From Home

This was a very challenging and serious decision for my husband and I to make, but it has proven to be more profitable to us than having it any other way. However, I must admit that things have been kinda tough lately and has led me to take action to help our situation. Trying to find legitimate, no scam jobs on  the internet has proven to be a huge challenge for me. I have spent three years searching and sifting every website, blog and forum for real paying jobs online and trust me, there are PLENTY of scams out there! But luckily for me this is the year of my breakthrough.

After trying almost every affiliate program out there, and being tempted to pay the low price of $XXX for the secret to making money, I finally came across a website called the RATRACEREBELLION, and discovered that I could actually use my typing skills to make money, and that there were "real" online companies hiring typists. So I ventured out into the field of general transcription. At present I am currently working with Transcribeme.com, and I am on the waiting list at Scribie.com, I also recently applied at Quicktate. All these sites are legitimate work at home opportunities, you don't have pay a penny, all you do is apply and wait to be accepted. If you are new to transcription, then  no problem, both Scribe and Transcribeme are accepting newbies. I also found another free legit site for those who are interested in taking surveys called PaidVeiwpoint, it is very easy to join and the surveys are short and simple. The greatest thing about this site is that you get paid for every question you answer, so I highly recommend this site to anyone who wants to make some extra cash.
As time goes by, I'll keep you guys updated as to how much money i'm making using these sites. All I can say for now is that I have already made $1.11 after transcribing 2 mins of audio at Transcribeme.com and $0.91 after taking 3 surveys at PaidViewPoint.

BUILDING AN AFFORDABLE GREENHOUSE

Presently my husband and I live with his mom until we can afford our own home,so for now we can only do raised beds. However, when I do get my own space I would love to have a neat little green house in my yard, but as we all know some green houses can be quite costly, so I decided to do a little research for  more affordable options. Just click on the links below for more information and feel free to leave a comment on which option you think is more affordable and suitable for a small yard space.

Option 1. BIODOME REVOLUTION
The Biodome Revolution teaches you how to build a dome shaped green house. It also shows how to go about organizing your green house in a way that would yield more healthier and productive plants.Although I'm not such a huge fan of the dome, It does include great features such as a water fountain.

Option 2.HOW TO BUILD A LOW COST GREEN HOUSE
This is a very simple structure using pvc pipe and is also very easy to construct.Although it may not be as attractive as the dome or other green house structures, it gets the job done.

GONE FISHING

My brother in law visited us from England last week and caught the fishing fever. So the past few days we have been doing some fishing at High Point, and our success has not been  too exciting, we only caught a few babies but the boys were proud of their achievements.

GARDENING IN THE SUN

OK. So last year around this very same time my husband and I decided to do some gardening in the yard.We were very successful in  growing some red peppers, tomatoes, Swiss chard, beet, cabbage, string beans, sweet potatoes, broccoli and okra. However, the sun in Antigua can be very unforgiving at times and we have kinda slowed down, so at present the yard is quite bear.
This picture was taken with the webcam from my laptop so it's kinda blurry.

We are in the process planning our new line of crops and making a few changes to our layout and raised beds.

My name is Roanna Guye, I was born on the beautiful Island of Dominica (not the Dominican Republic), and I now live on the lovely island of Antigua and Barbuda with my wonderful Antiguan husband and our beautiful son. I lovee nature and the outdoors, I love gardening, I love to bake,I love visiting other islands but most of all I love my family and I love God. So that pretty much summarizes who I am and what this blog is about.
